H.R. 2329
S. 1410
The Hearing Industries Association urges you to support the bipartisan Hearing Aid Assistance Tax Credit Act which was reintroduced in the House by Representatives Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) and Vern Ehlers (R-MI) and in the Senate by Senator Norm Coleman (R-MN). The bills are unchanged from legislation that attracted 112 House and 17 Senate co-sponsors in the 109th Congress which ended in 2006.
This hearing aid tax credit would help countless Americans who need hearing instruments, but simply cannot afford them. The benefits of reducing special education costs for children through increased hearing aid usage are immense, as are the benefits of minimizing psychological and mental disorders associated with untreated hearing loss in older adults. We urge all consumers and hearing professionals to contact your Congressional Representatives in support of H.R. 2329 and S. 1410.
